contractor footpath cleaning P Mac Dublin

Cleaning public spaces

Pmac is assisting Dublin City Council with the cleanup of a number of villages on the south side of the city. We have been contracted to assist the council by cleaning footpaths in a number of villages on Dublin’s southside, including the busy eatery villages of Ranelagh and Rathmines.

The work involves removing chewing gum, followed a by low-pressure steam clean to remove all contamination from the footpaths. Stains will be treated on an individual basis. Street furniture is washed by hand and unsightly graffiti, fly posters and stickers are also removed.

According to litter.ie, chewing gum comprises 15% of all litter recorded in Ireland. Our Chewing Gum Removal Unit specialises in ridding our streets of this modern, unsightly nuisance. We work with various county councils, local authorities, and property managers in an effort to combat this problem.

Using modern techniques (high-temperature mist at low pressure, to avoid surface damage), our gum removal service offers clients an affordable, viable and efficient service in the battle against discarded chewing gum. Our experience and efforts have resulted in dramatic improvements in the visual appearance of numerous streets around the country. To avoid disruption to traders and the public, work is carried out at night and appropriate traffic management is put in place. Cleaning of the stone paving and graffiti will be carried out prior to the Christmas period and Operation Freeflow.
